Yelp compiled the best burger joints through ratings from Yelp Elites. For the best cheeseburgers in the U.S., two Texas restaurants topped the list—one of which is a Houston favorite. Coming in at number 16: the acclaimed Pappas Burger.
According to Yelp, fans love the burger joint’s giant 10-ounce burgers and fun ambiance. A must try menu highlight, said Yelp Elites, is the Lucy Juicy, a luxurious, over-the-top burger stuffed with American cheese and accessorized with bacon jam, pimento cheese, grilled onions and an over-easy egg. Aside from burgers, Pappas also offers an array of salads, sandwiches and fried seafood baskets. Other Pappas favorites, like the Pappas Greek Salad and guacamole and chips, are also available.
