Delta Blues Smokehouse hails from Houston
Pappas Delta Blues Smokehouse, an “upscale” barbecue joint that hails from Houston, has officially opened its doors in Plano.
The restaurant arrived today at 3916 Dallas Parkway, bringing a lengthy list of whiskeys and smoked Prime briskets to the space. The restaurant is an offshoot of the Houston original, which opened in a suburb of the city in 2017, where it quickly earned rave reviews thanks to the combination of solid barbecue and ritzy touches like table service and actual plates instead of the typical butcher-paper-style service diners will find at the state’s other vaunted barbecue joints.
As far as the actual meats are concerned, look forward to St. Louis-style ribs, beef sausage with Czech influence, and smoked chicken alongside brisket and sides like creamed corn pudding, mac and cheese, and beans studded with pit-smoked pork. Outside of the smoky options, dishes like Nashville-style hot fried quail, burgers, and salads, are also on the menu.
Delta Blues Smokehouse is now open for dinner service starting at 5 p.m. Official hours of operation will debut in the coming weeks.
