Description

The Help Desk Associate provides phone support to restaurant personnel on computer related issues and systems. The Help Desk Associate troubleshoots problems and determines a solution based on past issues and experience. They work with second-level technical support on new or recurring problems to provide a solution, document and track all computer related issues, provide end-user training, and perform general hardware troubleshooting. The Help Desk Associate will assist in defining requirements for new or existing software based on user feedback and experience. Requires knowledge of restaurant procedures as it relates to computer software and information systems.

Responsibilities
• Provides phone support to restaurant personnel on computer related issues and systems. Troubleshoots problems and determines a solution based on past issues and experiences.
• Works with second-level technical support on new or recurring problems in order to provide a solution.
• Documents and tracks all computer related issues, questions, and requests to ensure a timely response.
• Provides end-user training on a limited basis for third-party applications, in-house developed software, and general hardware troubleshooting.
• Assists in defining requirements for new or existing software based on user feedback and experience.

Requirements

• Positive and professional attitude
• Requires knowledge of Pappas restaurant procedures as it relates to point of sale, computer software and information systems.
• HS diploma or GED
• Customer Service oriented
• Strong listener with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work well under pressure with good organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work scheduled evening or weekend on call shifts.
