In 1967, a little restaurant known as the Brisket House opened on Pierce Street, near downtown Houston. This became the first venture for Texas-born Chris and Harris Pappas, and the start of a restaurant company that would grow significantly over the next 40 years. In 1996, the Brisket House changed its name to Pappas Bar-B-Q. By 2005, six locations were scattered across Houston and one in Dallas. Today Pappas Bar-B-Q has grown to more than 18 Pappas family owned and operated Texas locations, and the foundation remains unchanged: Quality food and fast service.

Our barbecue is served fresh from the pits all day. Everything is homemade – from the pecan pie, chunky potato salad and crispy slaw to the savory sauces and bold ranch beans.
