Senior Claims Adjuster

Position Description:
The Senior Claims Adjuster will be responsible for prompt and efficient examination of General Liability and Texas Non-subscriber claims
through investigation, negotiation and interaction with employees, witnesses and claimants.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate and settle General Liability claims.
• Investigate and administer benefits for Texas Non-Subscriber employee injury claims.
• Investigate, evaluate and settle Auto claims (property damage only).
• Monitor any claims turned into insurance company for proper handling.
• Manage a portion of litigated files.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Licensed Property & Casualty adjuster
• Minimum of 10 years of adjusting General Liability claims
• Strong background in General Liability claims
• Experience with Texas Non-Subscriber employee injury claims preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• College degree preferred
• Experience in taking recorded statements, evaluating liability and negotiating settlements
• Litigation management experience preferred
• Strong verbal skills - ability to articulate liability findings in a positive manner and adjust communication to the level of the listener when needed
• Strong writing skills – ability to draft denial letters citing liability assessment
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
• Thorough investigation documentation required
• Detail oriented, self starter, capable of working with little supervision
• Must consistently demonstrate positive attitude
